Fees:

For Individual Services:

• For Developmental Editing: $45/hour: Depending on readability, I average 8-15 pages/hour
• For Line Editing: $35/hour: Depending on complexity of sentences, I average 5-10 pages/hour
• For Copy Editing: $25/hour: Depending on author’s accurateness, I average 4-8 pages/hour

For Grouped Services: Approximate prices based on a 500 page manuscript

• For Developmental & Line: You should expect to pay somewhere in the range of $3,500-6,500, depending on the level of complexity and work required.
• For Line & Copy: You expect to pay somewhere in the range of $3,300-6,600
• For all three: You should expect to pay somewhere between $5,000-9,500

As you can see, authors receive the potential for a discount for utilizing multiple services.

Schedule:

The following schedule is an approximation based on a 500 page manuscript. Authors can request a specific schedule of feedback but should then also expect to pay extra for expedited services.  Schedules vary on current number of active projects as well as family/personal obligations.

• For Developmental stage: Authors can expect a 2-month return.
• For Line Editing stage: Authors can expect a 3-month return.
• For Copy Editing stage: Authors can expect a 4-month return.

When combining services, authors will receive each service in order upon completion. Author must make appropriate changes before resubmitting manuscript for subsequent service.

Contract:

Author and Editor will sign a contract for services. Contract details vary per project.
